¿Qué es la palentología?

Es la ciencia que estudia los seres u organismos que vivieron en el pasado y que se conservan en las rocas, es decir, los fósiles. Este estudio es fundamental para interpretar cuales fueron las características y transformaciones de la vida a lo largo del tiempo y como se ha constituido la diversidad biológica actual. Con ella es posible la integración histórica de los hechos o eventos ocurridos en la tierra.

What is paleontology?

It is the science that studies the beings or organisms that lived in the past and are preserved in rocks, that is to say, fossils. This study is fundamental to interpret which were the characteristics and transformations of life throughout time and how the current biological diversity has been constituted. It makes possible the historical integration of the facts or events that have occurred on earth.
